Wallace Stories books are designed for children ages 2-8, written for their age. Younger children (2-4) receive simpler stories with more visual storytelling, while older children (5-8) get richer plots and vocabulary.

Can my child's disability or assistive technology be part of the book?

Yes, and it's one of the reasons we started. If your child uses a wheelchair, hearing aids, glasses, an AAC device, a feeding tube, a walker, or a service dog, it shows up naturally in the illustrations, drawn the way it actually looks in their life. The same is true for disabilities you can't see, like autism or ADHD. We never make the disability the lesson of the story. Your child sees themselves in the book, exactly as they are.

Shipping for the Hardcover is calculated at checkout based on your address. Books are printed and shipped within the United States.

What is your return policy?

Every book is written and illustrated from scratch for one specific child, so we can't restock a return. But if your book arrives damaged or with a printing mistake, email melissa@wallacestories.com within 30 days and we'll send a replacement at no cost. Your family should never keep a flawed copy.
