Shipping & Returns | Wallace Stories

Every Wallace book is made to order for one child. Here's exactly what happens between checkout and your doorstep, and what we do if something isn't right when it arrives.

How your book ships

After you tell us about your child, our creative team writes the story and creates the illustrations. Then your book is professionally printed, bound, and shipped as a physical 8.5"×8.5" book.

Printed books typically arrive within about 2 weeks of your order. We currently print and ship within the United States.

What shipping costs

  • Hardcover ($59): shipping is calculated at checkout, based on your address.
  • Gift Edition ($79): ships free.
  • Birthday Book and Growing Story subscriptions: shipping is included.

Returns and replacements

Because every book is written and illustrated from scratch for one specific child, we can't restock a return. So we don't accept returns or exchanges.

But we stand behind every book we print. If yours arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective in any way, email melissa@wallacestories.com within 30 days of delivery (a photo of the problem helps). We'll print and ship a replacement at no cost. Your family should never keep a flawed copy.

Spotted a mistake in your order?

If you notice a typo or a wrong detail right after ordering, email us as soon as you can. If your book hasn't gone to print yet, we'll do our best to catch it.
